Job summary

UPMC Chartwell is seeking a part-time Pharmacist to join our dedicated team in Pennsylvania. The pharmacist will be responsible for safe, effective pharmacotherapy and support centralized and decentralized medication-use systems to optimize therapy.

Responsibilities include interpreting orders, monitoring patient records, maintaining formulary, supervising staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing drug information to health professionals.

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy graduate.
• Current license as a Pharmacist in practicing state.
• Entry level accepted; pharmacist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and evaluate physician orders and prescriptions to prepare and dispense medications.
• Identify and report adverse drug reactions.
• Maintain formulary and promote rational drug therapy selection.
• Review patient medication records for allergies and interactions.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and staff as needed.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and quality initiatives in pharmaceutical care.
• Provide drug information and education to healthcare professionals and students.
• Demonstrate aseptic technique for IV admixtures when required.
