Qualifications
- Must hold a pharmacist license in the practicing state.
- ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy graduate.
- Pharmacist degree (B.S. or PharmD) with clearance to practice.
Responsibilities
- Review, maintain, and screen patient medication records and profiles for allergies, interactions, and duplications; enter orders and verify medications.
- Identify and report suspected adverse drug reactions accurately and timely.
- Interpret and evaluate physician orders to prepare and dispense medications per regulations.
- Prepare and dispense intravenous admixtures using aseptic technique.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns and organize daily operational duties.
- Fill prescription orders in accordance with state/federal regulations; utilize technology.
- Provide drug information and educational programs to healthcare professionals and students.
