Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our team in a fast-paced community pharmacy environment. You will dispense medications, verify prescriptions, and ensure safety by reviewing patient profiles and potential interactions.

Immunization administration and supervision of technicians are integral parts of the role. Candidates should hold a PharmD or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy, possess excellent communication skills, and be detail-oriented with a strong initiative to provide top-tier

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Administer immunizations to customers following Kroger standing orders and procedures
• Dispense medications to customers pursuant to prescriptions and laws, policies and procedures
• Compound medications using standard formulas, weights and measures
• Review prescriptions for accuracy and required ingredients
• Verify new medications against patient profiles for drug interactions
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns for accuracy
• Support promotions in consultation with the Pharmacy Manager
• Maintain compliance with safety, HIPAA and DEA procedures
• Promote teamwork and align department goals

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
