Kennelwood Pet Resorts is seeking a part-time Boarding Attendant for 2nd shift (2:00PM-10:00PM). This role involves caring for dogs, cats, and other pets, providing meals, exercise, enrichment, and attentive care in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

The position requires dependable teamwork, the ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to cleanliness and safety. Previous animal-care experience is appreciated but not required; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Walk and handle dogs safely across sizes and temperaments.
• Clean and sanitize boarding areas, bowls, equipment, and spaces.
• Complete laundry and maintain clean bedding and supplies.
• Document care activities, medications, observations, and concerns.
• Communicate with teammates to ensure consistent care during each pet's stay.

Kennelwood Pet Resorts is looking for dependable, compassionate team members to join our Pet Care team as Boarding Attendants. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working directly with animals, takes pride in keeping their environment clean and comfortable, and understands that great pet care requires attention to detail, teamwork, and reliability.

As a Boarding Attendant, you'll help provide safe, attentive, and consistent care to the pets staying with us while giving their families confidence that they're in good hands.

What You'll Do

You’ll spend your day caring for dogs, cats, and other pets by:

• Providing meals, fresh water, exercise, enrichment, and individual attention
• Following each pet's specific care, feeding, medication, and handling instructions
• Monitoring pets for changes in behavior, appetite, health, or overall well-being
• Walking and safely handling dogs of different sizes, breeds, temperaments, and activity levels
• Cleaning and sanitizing boarding accommodations, pet-care areas, bowls, equipment, and other spaces
• Completing laundry and helping maintain clean bedding and supplies
• Accurately documenting care activities, medications, observations, and concerns
• Communicating with teammates and leadership to ensure consistent care throughout each pet's stay
• Supporting your team wherever needed to maintain a safe, clean, and organized resort

Previous professional animal-care experience is preferred, but not required. Kennelwood provides training on our established pet-care procedures and expectations.

Schedule & Availability

Pet care is a 7-day-a-week operation, so schedules may include weekdays, early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak occupancy periods. Availability requirements will vary based on the specific opening and location.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position. Boarding Attendants regularly stand and walk for extended periods; bend, kneel, crouch, and reach; and regularly lift or carry approximately 40 pounds and occasionally up to approximately 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. The position also involves direct interaction with live animals and exposure to barking, animal hair and dander, water, cleaning products, animal waste, and indoor and outdoor working conditions.
