Job summary

Ann Arbor YMCA in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a Part-time Personal Trainer to create a welcoming and safe environment for members while helping them pursue health goals. The trainer will develop individualized workouts and conduct fitness assessments for members.

Applicants should hold a national PT certification (ACE/NASM/ACSM/NETA, etc.), CPR/AED certification (or obtain within 60 days), and a high school diploma with 2 years of college preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Personal Trainer from a national organization (ACE, NASM, ACSM, NETA, etc.)
• Current CPR and AED certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire
• Ability to relate to YMCA members in a positive manner
• Strong knowledge of exercise science, anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and injury prevention
• Multilingual ability is preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized workout regimens
• Conduct fitness assessments for members
• Provide fitness orientations, training and assessments
• Design safe and effective fitness programs for clients
• Maintain a clean and safe wellness center and facility
• Promote YMCA programming and wellness initiatives
