Job summary

Food Lion in Robersonville, NC is seeking a Perishable Department associate to provide quality customer service and maintain department standards. You will focus on fast, friendly, accurate service while minimizing shrink and ensuring product levels in meat, dairy, frozen and other perishables.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates to support team goals.
• Use company tools such as ACIS and CAO for inventory and ordering.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store appropriately.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise per policies.
• Maintain proper product levels in perishable areas including meat, lunchmeat, dairy and frozen items.
• Process beef as directed and wrap, label, weigh and stock case items.
• Assemble, disassemble and clean the grinder as needed and keep the area clean and sanitized.
• Follow food safety and workplace safety guidelines and report accidents per procedure.
• Observe and adhere to local, state, and federal regulations; wear uniform and name badge.
