Mississippi Valley Surgery Center is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical services team. This role provides comprehensive nursing care to patients during the pre-operative and post-operative phases of their surgical experience. MVSC offers a competitive wage and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license is required.
• Strong assessment, communication and critical-thinking skills are essential.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• ACLS and PALS certification required within 12 months of hire.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Conduct pre-operative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Monitor and assess patient status throughout the perioperative process.
• Provide post-operative care, including monitoring vital signs and pain management.
• Educate patients and families on post-surgical care and discharge planning.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
