Wellesley Dental Arts is seeking a Periodontic Dental Assistant to support our Periodontist in delivering exceptional care. The role emphasizes chairside assistance, patient communication, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

We are a well-established practice with a fun, upbeat team; the schedule is 1 day per week on Tuesdays, with opportunities for mentoring and professional growth.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Periodontic dental assisting experience.
• CRP Radiography/X-ray certification per state guidelines.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
• Positive, collaborative and patient-focused disposition.
• Compliance with state dental practice requirements (X-ray, OSHA, CE training).
• HIPAA and HITECH Act compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide the best patient experience.
• Chairside support for the Periodontist during treatment.
• Assist with documentation and record upkeep.
• Listen, empathize, and address patient concerns.
• Communicate treatment plans and how to maintain oral health.
• Oversee operatory setup/cleanup and sterilization.
• Take radiographs/x-rays.
• Support front desk and office manager with admin needs.
