Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized school of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Compounds, prepares, mixes, manufactures and dispenses drugs, devices and biologicals for inpatient and ambulatory patients.
• Reviews drug orders and prescriptions for therapeutic propriety.
• Maintains patient drug profiles of drug administration.
• Provides appropriate drug information and guidance to health professionals and patients.
• Maintains current information regarding poisons and hazardous substances.
• Prices drug prescriptions and drug orders.
• Dispenses or supervises the dispensing of floor stock drugs to nursing units.
• Supervises and prepares parenteral solutions and complex preparations as required.
• Monitors medication labeling for compliance and storage/distribution in clinics.
