Job description

UVA Health is seeking a part-time (per-diem) Anesthesiologist to join our dynamic team in Charlottesville, VA. This role offers the opportunity to work within a top-tier academic medical center renowned for its excellence in patient care, education, and research.

As part of the Department of Anesthesiology, you will deliver comprehensive anesthesia services, provide perioperative care, and contribute to our educational and clinical missions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide high-quality anesthetic care for a diverse patient population, including perioperative evaluation and postoperative management.

  2. Administer and monitor anesthesia during surgeries and procedures across various specialties.

  3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and maintain the highest standard of care.

Qualifications

Required:

  • MD or DO degree with board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology.

  • Unrestricted Virginia medical license or eligibility to obtain one prior to the start date.

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive); Repetitive motion: computer keyboard. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills; attention to detail and ability to write legibly; ability to lift/push/pull 50-100 lbs. May be exposed to noise, radiation, radioactive materials, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
