Job summary

Victory Programs Incorporated is seeking a Part-time Peer Recovery Coach to provide peer support and recovery planning at our Jamaica Plain location. The role emphasizes empowerment, recovery capital, and connecting members to resources. Shifts are on Fridays 3PM-8PM and Saturdays 9AM-2PM, on-site, at $22.28 per hour.

The ideal candidate supports group activities, collaborates with staff, and upholds confidentiality and program standards while helping individuals achieve personal wellness goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding and belief in recovery process and Recovery Oriented Systems of Care model.
• Completion of Recovery Coach Academy and Ethical Considerations trainings required (may be completed within 6-12 months of hire).
• Current TB Screening (may be obtained upon hire).
• Current CPR Certification (may be obtained upon hire).
• Three strong professional work references: 2 from a supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one peer support, recovery planning, recovery capital and pathway exploration.
• Assist individuals in overcoming barriers to recovery and navigate the recovery system.
• Run groups and activities and assist in developing programming and services.
• Assist individuals in identifying wellness goals and pathways to achieve them.
• Connect individuals to recovery support systems and community resources.
• Collaborate with staff to implement person-centered, recovery-oriented care.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to agency policies and ethics.
