Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join outpatient pediatrics on a part-time basis at our Wexford, PA clinic.

You will provide primary healthcare services for non-acute or chronic pediatric conditions, perform history and exams, order tests, educate families, and coordinate with the care team in a physician office setting with weekend/on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
• Current PA Physician Assistant License.
• PA-C or board eligible.
• Ongoing recertification (NCCPA) as a PA-C within 90 days of hire.
• CPR - American Heart Association.
• PALS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 background clearances.

Responsibilities

• Provides pediatric primary healthcare services for non-acute or chronic conditions.
• Records medical history and conducts physical assessments.
• Develops therapeutic care plans and orders/tests; documents medical records.
• Coordinates care with families, communities, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Educates patients and families on health, medications, and prevention.
• Triages calls and supports continuous care with physicians as needed.
• Participates in quality improvement and compliance activities.
