Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our part-time, school-based team in Maumee, OH. You will support students in developing functional, motor, sensory, and self-care skills needed for classroom success and daily activities.

Under the supervision of a licensed OT, you will help students gain independence and participate effectively in their educational environment, with a strong emphasis on collaboration with teachers and families.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active Ohio Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Current NBCOT certification.
• Experience working with pediatric populations preferred.
• School-based experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
• Support the development of fine motor, visual-motor, sensory, self-care, and functional life skills.
• Document therapy sessions, student progress, and treatment outcomes accurately.
• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Assist with implementing classroom accommodations and therapeutic strategies.
• Support the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology as appropriate.
• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
