Job summary

Canarsie Childhood Center is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for two to three days per week. You will guide students toward reaching their full potential in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Responsibilities include assessment, therapy design, and reporting, with involvement in IEPs and ongoing professional development. A strong team spirit and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current registration with NYSOTA (New York State Occupational Therapy Association).
• Experience with children with special needs is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate students' abilities to develop treatment plans.
• Design and implement therapies to improve motor and sensory skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals on plans.
• Conduct group and individual therapy sessions to promote independence.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and treatment plans.
• Participate in IEP meetings and staff development.
