Job summary
National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) in Chicago, IL seeks a part-time Registered Nurse to provide medication administration and clinical support for children at the Center for Family Engagement & Well-Being. Responsibilities include nursing assessments, wellness monitoring, and coordination with DCFS, with hours around 35 per week and occasional on-call coverage.
The RN will document care, respond to medical concerns, and collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure high-quality services.
Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Nurse with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Nursing experience working with children and adolescents is required.
- Must have a valid RN license and be available for on‑call consultations.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical assessments on each client on intake.
- Administer medications and treatments per orders.
- Coordinate care with physicians, DCFS, and caregivers.
- Maintain timely documentation and recordkeeping.
- Schedule examinations with consulting physicians.
- Ensure compliance with Medical Policies and Standing Orders.
