Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Department of Anesthesiology, Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology, invites applications for a part-time, per diem Senior Clinical Instructor. The role focuses on delivering high-quality anesthetic care to pediatric patients across CHCO facilities in the Denver metro area and related sites.

The attending anesthesiologist will supervise trainees and provide hands-on teaching in the OR, while maintaining licensure and board eligibility

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Colorado by effective hire date.
• Fellowship-trained in Pediatric Anesthesiology; board certification desirable.
• Experience teaching Anesthesiology; dedicated pediatric cardiac anesthesiologist preferred.
• Board eligible or diplomat status or foreign training recognized as equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care in the operating room, labor and delivery, radiology, and special procedures.
• Supervise physicians-in-training, CRNAs, and other learners when needed.
• Provide hands-on, one-on-one instruction in the OR as part of faculty duties.
• Contribute to teaching needs of the Department and School of Medicine, on-site.
