Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Health, or equivalent.
• Maine educator certification required or anticipated experience teaching or coaching children or adolescents.
• Strong understanding of child development and age–appropriate physical activities.
• Ability to create a morally healthy, structured, and motivating learning environment.
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.

Responsibilities

• Teach developmentally appropriate PE classes for K–8.
• Design and implement lessons that promote fitness, motor skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Model respectful and persevering behavior and fair play.
• Maintain safe gym environment and manage equipment.
• Record grades and attendance accurately.
• Support wellness initiatives and community events.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
• Uphold school policies and Catholic mission.
