Job summary

Homestead Village is seeking a passionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support residents with daily living and activities in our Life Plan Community just outside downtown Lancaster. The role includes part-time shifts in Supportive Services and Westvue with weekend rotations, a starting rate of $15.75 per hour plus shift differentials.

Open positions include morning, afternoon and evening shifts; duties include ADLs/IADLs, meals, activities, and safety rounds.

Qualifications

• High School or better in Other or related field.
• 1 year caregiving experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish respectful relationships with residents.
• Assist residents as identified in Resident Support Plan with ADLs and IADLs.
• Maintain CPR, AED and First Aid certification and administer as required.
• Perform laundry and light housekeeping to keep residents' living area safe.
• Facilitate resident activities to meet social, educational, spiritual, recreational needs.
• Assist with dining, meal preparation and service.
• Escort residents to appointments, outings and off-campus events.
• Encourage hydration and nutrition.
• Perform rounds to verify safety of residents.
• Respond to call bells and requests for help.
• Practice teamwork and report pertinent information.
