Job summary

Heritage Imaging is seeking a compassionate Patient Care Associate (PCA) to support MRI and PET/CT operations at Forks Community Hospital in Forks, WA. You will work closely with technologists, patients, physicians, and healthcare facilities to ensure a safe, efficient imaging environment and an exceptional patient experience.

This part-time role offers flexible scheduling (Every Other Monday and Every Tuesday), PTO accrual, holiday pay, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• 1 year of MA experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, patient care, medical office, or customer service environments preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology or diagnostic imaging processes.
• Experience with MRI, PET/CT, radiology, or related healthcare services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and families throughout imaging appointments.
• Explain imaging procedures and provide support before, during, and after exams.
• Assess patient needs, including mobility, anxiety, and special accommodations.
• Maintain communication with patients throughout procedures to ensure comfort and safety.
• Assist claustrophobic or anxious patients using established patient care techniques.
• Provide post-exam instructions and explain follow-up processes.
• Assist with patient positioning and transport.
• Support MRI and PET/CT workflows under the direction of imaging technologists.
• Complete patient check-in processes, including screening and documentation.
• Help maintain mobile imaging unit readiness and operational organization.
