Job summary

Upham's PACE in Boston, MA is hiring a part-time Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for participants between homes, the Adult Day Health Center, medical appointments, and other approved locations. The role supports mobility with lifts and chairs, adheres to PACE procedures, and ensures secure seating and documentation on every trip.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a MA driver’s license with a clean three-year record, CPR/First Aid certification or ability

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Massachusetts driver’s license with a safe three-year driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and assist in multi-story buildings.
• CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within three months.
• Strong communication and technology skills (GPS/dispatch).

Responsibilities

• Safely operate van or chair car per laws and Upham’s PACE policies.
• Transport participants to homes, centers, medical appointments and other locations.
• Assist participants in and out of vehicles using lifts and chairs.
• Secure passengers before transport and monitor safety en route.
• Maintain logs: mileage, fuel usage, service records, etc.
• Clean vehicles and coordinate maintenance as directed.
• Assist with mid-day tasks, dispatch, and non-driving duties.
• Wear uniform and participate in trainings.
