Responsibilities

• Interview patients at workstations or bedside to obtain all necessary account information.
• Provide exemplary customer service.
• Ensure charts are completed and accurate.
• Verify all insurance and obtain pre-certification/authorization.
• Calculate and collect patient liability amounts.
• Ensure necessary signatures are obtained for treatment.
• Process patient charts according to workflow and productivity standards.
• Interview incoming patients and relatives to obtain demographic and insurance information.
• Assign Insurance Plans accurately.
• Verify insurance benefits and determine pre-certification/authorization status.
• Initiate authorization when required and log details in the system.
• Secure all signatures for treatments and information releases.
• Explain policies regarding services, pricing, insurance billing, and payment.
