Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health in Paterson, NJ seeks a part-time Patient Care Associate/Technician to assist patients with daily living activities, provide basic care to acutely ill patients, and support a safe clinical environment.

The role includes performing EKGs and venipuncture under RN direction. The ideal candidate holds a High School diploma or equivalent, BLS within 6 months, and a PCA/PCT/CNA credential or nursing school coursework related to Nursing Fundamentals.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent, BLS cert within 6 months, and PCA/PCT or CNA credentials.
• PCA/PCT diploma or CNA cert with related work experience in healthcare.
• Enrolled in nursing school or completion of Nursing Fundamentals coursework or CNA/PCT related training.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and basic care.
• Maintain safe and clean environment and assist with EKGs and Venipuncture as directed by RN.
