Job summary

Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join its dedicated team. The role assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, and helps maintain a safe environment.

This is a part-time position (24 hrs/week) with day shifts, 6:45am to 3:15pm. Landmark Medical Center is a 214-bed acute care hospital recognized for patient safety and award-winning care,

Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), State approved Certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Education

Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.

Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
