The University of Tampa is looking for a Part-Time Patient Actor (MUTA) to support training for physician assistant students. This seasonal position involves portraying a healthy genitourinary patient and providing valuable feedback after simulations to enhance student learning.

Applicants must have prior training as a Male Urological Teaching Associate and be able to maintain confidentiality regarding student performance. Strong feedback skills and proficiency in relevant software are also required. This role will require no more than 20 hours per week.

Position Details

Physician Assistant Medicine in the College of Natural and HealthSciences at The University of Tampa has openings for part-timeseasonal patient actors who will portray patients in the simulationlab in order to provide students the opportunity to engage in humanpatient simulated experiences in preparation for clinicalexperiences with actual patients.

This position is for trained Male Urological TeachingAssociates (MUTA).

Responsibilities

1. Portray a healthy genitourinary patient.

2. Provide feedback after the simulated experience to the studenton areas of demonstrated competency as well as areas identified forimprovement.

3. Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of,respect for, and development of skills to engage with those ofother cultures and backgrounds.

Qualifications

Work Schedule

This is a seasonal position with no set hours as work is on anas-needed basis.
