Job summary

The City of Papillion is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Laborer to join the Parks Department. Work outdoors across city parks, athletic fields and recreational spaces, performing hands-on maintenance and manual tasks to keep areas clean and safe.

This role involves mowing, edging, snow removal, tool operation, and interacting with the public, with opportunities to gain experience in municipal operations. Must be reliable, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and follow safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be bondable.
• Must be at least 18 years old at time of hire.
• Ability to operate basic park maintenance equipment and tools.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong communication and public interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging and raking.
• Performs snow removal on streets, sidewalks and facilities.
• Maintains parks, athletic fields and recreational areas; clears debris.
• Operates mowing and snow removal equipment and basic tools safely.
• Loads/unloads materials and maintains tools and equipment.
