Children’s Museum Houston (CMH) seeks a Parent Stars Assistant to support the Parent Stars team in continuing the parent engagement program. This part-time role, up to 29 hours per week, involves assisting with event setup, delivery, and evaluation across CMH’s outreach locations and within the Institute for Family Learning.

• Ability to travel throughout the city and region to present Parent Stars programming in a variety of settings.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the delivery of Family Learning Events and effectively engages parents, children, and other attendees at events.
• Assists with transportation of program materials as necessary.
• Works with Parent Stars Manager and staff to complete necessary steps for setup, implementation, and breakdown of Parent Stars events.
• Participates in the collection of evaluations and sign in sheets for all events and returns to Parent Stars Manager.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with all levels of management both internal and external to the Museum.
• Other duties as assigned.
