Job summary

Rose Tree Media School District is seeking a Paraprofessional II for the 2026–2027 school year. This part-time position provides instructional, behavioral, and personal support to students in a variety of settings, including general education and special education with one-to-one assignments.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred) and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree, college coursework, or relevant experience with children preferred.
Ability to work effectively with students of varying ages, abilities and learning needs.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with students, staff and families.
Ability to follow instructional and behavioral plans under supervision of professional staff.
Demonstrated patience, flexibility and commitment to student growth and independence.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment with students and families.
Basic computer skills and ability to use district technology systems.

Responsibilities

Provide instructional, behavioral and personal support to students in diverse settings, including general and special education.
Collaborate effectively with teachers and support staff to support student success.
Assist with one‑to‑one assignments as needed and implement instructional plans.
Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment across district sites.
