Zusammenfassung

The South Amboy Board of Education has an opening for a part-time paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year, up to 29 hours per week. Rate of pay will be per negotiated agreement between the South Amboy Board of Education & the South Amboy Education Association. Requirements include a County Substitute License or 60 college credits; verification of enrollment if enrolled.

Fingerprinting and a physical exam are required. CPI Training is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• County Substitute License required or eligibility via 60 college credits for a substitute license.
• If not licensed, must have at least 60 college credits to apply for a County Substitute License.
• 30 credits required with current enrollment in college; verification of enrollment required; must be at least 20 years of age.

Aufgaben

• Assist the classroom teacher with implementing the daily program.
• Assist with clerical tasks, recordkeeping, and preparation of instructional materials.
• Assist with supervision of students and with behavior management plans.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to support learning.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderly arrangement of materials and equipment in the classroom.
• Assist children with preparing for and moving to other classrooms, activities, or arrival/dismissal.
