Job summary

South Amboy School District is hiring a part-time bus paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is located at South Amboy Elementary School, with daily hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, on an as-needed basis.

Starting hourly rate is $17, as determined by the negotiated agreement between the Board of Education and the South Amboy Education Association. A high school diploma and background clearance are required.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Fingerprinting is required for criminal history background clearance.
• Physical exam required.
• Must be available from 7 am until 3:30pm Monday through Friday.

The South Amboy School District has the following opening for the 2026-2027 school year. Rate of pay will be the hourly rate of individuals appointed to the position based upon the negotiated agreement between the South Amboy Board of Education & the South Amboy Education Association:

SUBSTITUTE BUS PARAPROFESSIONAL

Position available on an as needed basis

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be available from 7 am until 3:30pm Monday through Friday

Starting Salary- $17/ hourly

Location: South Amboy Elementary School

The selection process will continue until a candidate is appointed. Appointment is at the discretion of the South Amboy Board of Education. If, and when, an appointment is made, appropriate staff will be notified.
