Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must possess Iowa Class-B CDL license.
• Must maintain current Iowa EMS certification (or Nurse Exception status) and be in good standing with the Iowa Bureau of EMS (BETS).
• Must be in good physical condition and able to work long shifts in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Responds to Fire and EMS emergencies to save lives, property, and the environment.
• Performs fire suppression and EMS duties per SOPs and instructions.
• Performs Basic and Advanced pre-hospital care according to protocols.
• Operates hand and power tools and rescue equipment during emergencies.
