Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Firefighter-Paramedic to join its emergency response team at an Automotive Manufacturing Facility in West Point, GA. The role features 12-hour blocks with day or night shifts, offering supplemental income and flexible scheduling for certified Paramedic Firefighters.

Requirements include Georgia Firefighter 1 & 2, EMT license, physical fitness, and the ability to pass SCBA testing. Candidate must be 21+, with HS diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must hold Georgia State Firefighter 1 & 2 (NFPA 1001) and a current EMT License.
• Able to pass a physical and Fit Test for SCBA.
• Annual Hazardous Materials Technician certification is desired.
• HS Diploma/GED and 21+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary responder for fire incidents, industrial accidents, and hazardous material mitigation.
• Administer Basic Life Support and emergency medical care to site employees and guests.
• Conduct patrols to detect and report safety hazards and deter infractions.
• Operate fire apparatus pumps, advance hose lines, climb ladders, and perform rescue duties as needed.

Firefighter-Paramedic (Part-Time) – Automotive Plant

Location: West Point, GA

Pay Rate: $24 - $25 (NIGHT SHIFT)

Work Shifts: 12-Hour Blocks (6 AM – 6 PM or 6 PM – 6 AM) – All workdays available!

What You’ll Do

• Emergency Response: Act as the primary responder for fire incidents, industrial accidents, and hazardous material mitigation.
• Medical Support: Administer Basic Life Support (BLS) and emergency medical care to site employees and guests.
• Safety & Security: Conduct patrols to detect and report suspicious activity or safety hazards, acting as a visible deterrent to client rule infractions.
• Technical Ops: Operate fire apparatus pumps, advance hose lines, climb ladders, and perform confined space/rope rescues as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certifications: Must hold Georgia State Firefighter 1 & 2 (NFPA 1001) and a current EMT License (or higher).
• Physical Readiness: Must pass a physical and Fit Test for SCBA; able to wear gear weighing ~70 lbs and lift/carry up to 80 lbs.
• Additional Training: Ability to obtain/maintain annual Hazardous Materials Technician and Confined Space/Rope Rescue certifications.
• Basic Requirements: At least 21 years old, HS Diploma/GED, and a valid Driver's License with a clean 3-year record.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal communication, customer service mindset, and intermediate computer skills.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Be at least 21 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
• Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Health License as Emergency Paramedic (EMT) or higher
• Must have current CPR/AED Certification
• Must pass physical and Fit Test required for Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)
• Must obtain and maintain annual Hazardous Materials Technician Certification (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120)
• Must obtain and maintain annual Confined Space and Rope Rescue Certification (OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146)
• Must possess or be able to obtain any additional state requirements for a firefighter EMT
• As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Driving Positions: must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.
• Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
• Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
• Safely respond to emergency incidents, fight fires, mitigate hazardous material incidents, rescue trapped persons in confined spaces, and administer basic life support (BLS) treatment.
• Able to perform firefighting duties including advancing hose lines, fire apparatus pump operations, safely operate power tools, climb ladders, and wear firefighter protective gear including self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) weighing approximately 70 pounds.
• Able to:
  • Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 80 pounds
  • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
  • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
