Qualifications

Paramedics may act as team leaders, managing scenes and units as needed, and are responsible for driving ambulances during emergency responses. Collaborating professionally with healthcare and public safety personnel is vital, along with participating in community outreach to enhance community relations.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, valid state Paramedic and Driver’s Licenses, BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic certifications, and a compliant driving record. Candidates should pass a physical agility test and have some healthcare experience; related experience is preferred.
