Job summary

Global Medical Response is hiring a Part-Time Paramedic in Pierre, SD. The role focuses on delivering advanced patient care, leading on-scene decisions, and responding effectively to 911 calls.

The position requires a State Paramedic License, an active State Driver’s License, and BLS/ACLS/NREMT-Paramedic certifications. You will work with other EMS and public safety teams to provide compassionate, high-quality care to our communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• State Paramedic License required

• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic certifications required
• Driving record compliant with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• Healthcare experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients and families to explain care and reassure them.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.

• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
• Participate in community programs to support AMR image and relations.

Responsibilities:

• Assess each call situation to determinethebest course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.

• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures, including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.

• Communicate with patientsand loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.

• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.

• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.

• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as yourfellow Paramedics.

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

MinimumRequiredQualifications:
