Job summary

AMR in Pierre, SD, is hiring a Full-Time Paramedic who will provide advanced patient care on 911 responses. The candidate will lead Paramedic teams on scene, operate life-support equipment, and coordinate with public safety personnel while driving an ambulance and ensuring high-quality service.

Minimum qualifications include a state Paramedic license, a valid driver’s license, and certifications (BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic).

Qualifications

• Licensed paramedic with current state credentials.
• Ability to work under progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Willingness to drive an ambulance on 911 responses.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action following Paramedic protocols.
• Operate defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction devices and IV fluids to deliver advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and relationships.
