Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Part-Time RN for the SMC PACU Surgical Services in Minnesota. The RN coordinates nursing care, provides patient/family education, and manages transitions of care. This role supports the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model and requires effective communication and teamwork.

FLSA nonexempt with a 0.5 FTE eligibility note. Flexible hours may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program and licensed RN.
• State RN licensure required prior to start date.
• Recent ICU/PCU experience preferred in last 3–5 years.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care, patient/family education, and transitions of care.
• Support nursing practice across settings within the Mayo Clinic model.
• Delegate tasks based on skill level, acuity, and resources.
• Demonstrate leadership, participate in quality improvement, and may serve on committees or projects.
• Potentially drive personal vehicle as part of the role.
