Job summary

Illinois Bone & Joint Institute is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to provide PACU/Recovery nursing care for surgical patients in the Glenview, IL area. The role includes assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the immediate post-anesthetic period, with emphasis on safe, effective patient care and teamwork.

The RN will work 1 to 2 days per week from 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM, handling admission/discharge processes, post-op instructions, and patient education in collaboration with

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program is required.
• Illinois Registered Nurse license is required.
• BLS and ALS certifications are required; PALS preferred.
• Ambulatory surgery center experience preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to surgical patients in PACU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of patient care and communications.
• Demonstrate competency across age ranges and adapt plans of care to surgical team.
• Assist with admission, discharge planning, and post-op teaching and safety.
