AdventHealth in Denver, CO is seeking a Part-time Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant to support nursing workflows on a clinical unit. The role involves assisting in patient care under RN supervision, documenting procedures, and contributing to a safe, clean environment.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent and BLS certification, with 1+ year of PCT experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of PCT experience preferred; bedside care in acute units or related roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments per policy and procedure, delivering age-appropriate patient care.
• Responds properly in clinical emergencies.
• Supports quality standards and performance improvement initiatives.
• Follows isolation guidelines and uses PPE as required.
• Maintains a clean and safe patient environment.
• Assists in patient care under RN supervision and documents procedures per policy.
• Participates in obtaining nursing history and reports abnormalities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

NEW HIRE SIGN-ON BONUS UP TO $5000. TWO 2-12 HOUR SHIFTS.

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
• Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives.
• Follows prescribed isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of protective equipment, performs handwashing according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.
• Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrades skills continuously.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assists in the delivery of patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy.
• Participates in obtaining a nursing history and reports abnormalities to the registered nurse.
• Assists in identifying patient needs
