Job summary

RPMGlobal in Valdosta, GA is seeking a Part-Time Packaging Laborer. The role pays $21.85/hr plus $3.00 pay differential and weekend premiums, with weekly payments. You will monitor quality, operate packaging machinery, and ensure accurate labeling and dates on packaged goods.

Typical duties include staging finished product, maintaining stock counts, and helping maintain clean, safe work areas in a food manufacturing environment. Prior experience in related manufacturing is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in food manufacturing and/or machine operating preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates products entering packaging and monitors for quality standards.
• Communicates quality issues to Line Control Supervisor for correction.
• Operates packaging and related equipment, including slicers and machinery.
• Monitors date codes, labels, and pricing on finished products.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety in the work area.
• Assists coworkers when the system is not running properly.

Come Join our Team as a Part-Time Packaging Laborer!

Pay rate: $21.85/hr. + $3.00 pay differential and Weekend Premiums, paid weekly!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may also be assigned.)

• Evaluates product entering packaging and monitors packaged product for quality standards.
• Communicates quality issues to Line Control Supervisor for correction.
• Places packaged product into baskets.
• Verifies that the date packaged is correct.
• Starts and adjusts slicers and packaging machinery; requests necessary repairs from the maintenance team
• Starts, adjusts, and monitors economy packaging equipment
• Operates palletizing equipment
• Operates the bagging and kwickloc equipment
• Maintain counts of finished product to meet orders generated via the load coordinating department.
• Remove full or partial pallets of product from equipment for staging
• Monitor clips on finished product and perform checks for accuracy in regards to clip color, date, product, and price.
• Monitor and operate sticker machines and pattern makers
• Maintain cleanliness of area
• Assists co-workers when system is not running properly.
• Adheres to safety, food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations

Education/Experience

• Education: High School Diploma/GED
• Related food manufacturing and/or machine operating experience preferred
