Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery is seeking a Part-Time Package Handler to load, unload, and sort freight quickly and accurately to ensure timely deliveries. Shifts are Mon-Fri with starts at 7:00am or 4:00pm, and pay ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities include hand unloading, scanning barcodes, sorting by destination, stacking in trailers, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. Requires reliable p erformance and ability to lift heavy loads, with a 401(k) plan offered

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Able to work with all types of freight including hazardous materials, perishable foods and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals.

Responsibilities

• Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles.
• Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes.
• Sort each package by zip code, city, or state.
• Stack freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently.
• Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed.
• Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Hours and Wages

• Available Shifts:
  • Monday-Friday, 7:00am start
  • Monday-Friday, 4:00pm start
• $18.00-20.00 per hour, based on experience
