Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery is seeking a Part-Time Package Handler in Rapid City, SD. You will load, unload, and sort freight accurately and promptly to ensure quick delivery. This role requires lifting up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 100 pounds occasionally.

The position runs Tuesday through Saturday starting at 4:00 AM, with a pay range of $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include a 401(k) plan and opportunities to contribute to a dependable logistics team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Able to work in a fast-paced warehouse and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles.
• Scan barcode labels during unloading for tracking.
• Sort packages by zip code, city, or state.
• Stack freight in trailers and routes to protect items and maximize space.
• Wash fleet vehicles as needed to maintain image.
• Perform light custodial duties to keep a clean, safe warehouse.

Job Summary

The Part-Time Package Handler will load, unload, and sort freight accurately and in a timely manner to ensure quick delivery.

Hours and Wages

• Tuesday-Saturday, 4:00AM start
• $18.00-20.00 per hour, based on experience

Duties and Responsibilities

• Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles
• Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes
• Sort each package by zip code, city, or state
• Stack freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently
• Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed
• Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
