Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Package Handler to load, unload, and sort freight to ensure quick delivery. Typical shifts run Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday with hourly wages ranging from $18.00 to $20.00 based on experience.

Responsibilities include scanning barcodes, sorting by zip code or city, and maintaining a clean warehouse. Applicants should be at least 16 with HS diploma preferred and willing to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles.
• Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes.
• Sort each package by zip code, city, or state.
• Stack freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently.
• Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed.
• Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The corporate headquarters and main sort facility is located in St. Cloud, MN. We currently employ over 1,800 employees company wide and over the years we have expanded throughout the Midwest.

Job Summary

The Part-Time Package Handler will load, unload, and sort freight accurately and in a timely manner to ensure quick delivery.

Hours and Wages

• Monday-Friday, 3:00PM start or
• Tuesday-Saturday, 5:00AM start
• $18.00-20.00 per hour, based on experience

Duties and Responsibilities

• Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles
• Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes
• Sort each package by zip code, city, or state
• Stack freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently
• Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed

Education and Experience

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
