Job summary

University of Maryland Eastern Shore invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty position in the Master of Physician Assistant Studies Program. This part-time, non-tenure-track role reports to the Program Director and collaborates with PA faculty and staff to support program goals and ARC-PA accreditation.

Responsibilities include teaching PA courses, developing content, evaluating student performance, supervising clinical training, advising students, and ensuring compliance with accreditation

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an ARC-PA accredited PA program.
• MD license or eligibility to practice in Maryland; Doctoral degree in health/science is acceptable alternative.

Responsibilities

• Teach PA courses as designated by Program Director.
• Develop and revise course content, including syllabi and exams.
• Evaluate and improve course delivery and learning outcomes.
• Supervise and assess student performance in classroom, lab, and clinical settings.
• Advise and mentor students; provide remediation as needed.
• Develop competency-based assessments aligned with program goals.
• Participate in peer review of faculty teaching.
• Grade assignments and provide constructive feedback.
• Conduct site visits for clinical rotations and maintain preceptor relationships.
• Ensure ARC-PA standards compliance.
• Perform other duties to support the PA Program and School of Pharmacy and Health Professions.

Education

ARC-PA accredited PA program, Master’s degree
