Job summary

Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Cambridge Breast Center. The position is part-time, 24 hours per week, and involves co-managing patient care with a physician in a patient-centered, multidisciplinary team.

You will provide comprehensive care, order labs and imaging, triage urgent calls, support accreditation programs, and collaborate with the RN Navigator to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2 years of PA experience required, Breast Center experience strongly preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current Massachusetts licensure authorizing practice in an expanded role.
• Current DEA number and Mass DPH registration to prescribe controlled substances.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support “C” Certification.

Responsibilities

• Co-manage the medical care of Breast Center patients in collaboration with a physician, adhering to established hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
• Provide comprehensive patient care within the Breast Center, including managing acute and chronic diseases according to established clinical guidelines.
• Order necessary laboratory and radiographic studies.
• Triage urgent telephone calls from patients.
• Support Accreditation Programs to ensure standards are met.
• Collaborate effectively with the RN Navigator on various patient care efforts.
