Job description

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a Part-Time Overnight Veterinary Receptionist in Mount Pleasant, SC.

Pay: $17.00 - $23.50 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience, licensure, and advancement through our leveling system.

Availability: Must be available to work overnight shifts from 6pm to 6am, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:
  1. Greet clients warmly and acknowledge them professionally upon entry.
  2. Maintain a friendly demeanor, strong eye contact, and approachability.
  3. Listen compassionately to clients.
  4. Communicate clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and over the phone.
  5. Assess clients and pets upon arrival to determine their needs and condition.
  6. Identify emergency cases as "stat" or "standard" emergencies.
  7. Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and direct them appropriately.
  8. Confirm appointments and provide clients with preparation instructions.
  9. Offer emotional support and resources to grieving clients discreetly and compassionately.
  10. Serve as a liaison during pet remains handling, ensuring a respectful process.
