Job summary

Penn State University’s Labor School seeks a part-time Outreach Program Coordinator with labor movement experience to expand its audience, build partnerships, and manage programming. The role is based within the School of Labor and Employment Relations and offers hybrid or remote work in Pennsylvania with flexible scheduling up to 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities include identifying opportunities, coordinating events, marketing outreach, and leading cross-channel communications.

Qualifications

• Effective written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Excel; Zoom experience.
• Experience with Pennsylvania labor movement desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist Labor School faculty in identifying opportunities to expand audience and impact.
• Facilitate relationships with partner organizations and stakeholders across Pennsylvania.
• Coordinate planning of major Labor School events and workflows.
• Represent the Labor School at local and regional events.
• Coordinate and implement marketing strategies for outreach programs.
• Lead communications across newsletters, website, email, and social media.
