Job summary

Carson Tahoe Health in Carson City, Nevada, is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist for a part-time position. This role provides direct patient care in Physical Therapy to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent disabilities.

Responsibilities include examining medical history, evaluating abilities, developing treatment plans, supervising PTAs and technicians, and educating patients and families in PT methods.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a bachelor’s level (or higher) program in Physical Therapy from an APTA accredited program.
• Physical Therapy licensure in the State of Nevada or current interim permit.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in Physical Therapy services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease.
• Examines patient's medical history, evaluates their physical abilities, determines their potential to respond to therapy and develops treatment plans.
• Supervision of the Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA) and technician in delivery of Physical Therapy services.
• Educates patients and families in appropriate physical therapy methods.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy (APTA accredited)
