Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and Doctorate in OT.
• VA OT license required.
• Experience providing patient education and collaborative care.

Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers.
• Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.
• Performs modalities/therapeutic interventions in accordance with accepted standards of care and department policies and procedures.
• Provides effective instruction to the patient and family through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training.
• Initiate, develop, and maintain collaborative interactions with internal and external team members, patients, and family members to improve patient outcomes.
• Productive and efficient in daily operations.
• Selects and performs the appropriate assessment procedures.
• Establishes and updates formal plan of care to address individual patient needs.

Education

Bachelor's Degree (Required)

Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy (Required)

Certification/Licensure: Occupational Therapy License in VA (Required)
