We are actively seeking a Treatment Coordinator to join our team. The Treatment Coordinator is a key face and representative of our team. Their main objectives include scheduling appointments with interested individuals seeking orthodontic care, working with doctors to communicate treatment plans, helping patients afford treatment, and providing exceptional customer service to support patients on their smile journey.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain high treatment acceptance by explaining treatment costs, insurance coverage, and finance options.
  • Patient Communication and Education: Explain treatment plans and timelines clearly to patients and families. Address concerns and answer questions.
  • Financial Coordination: Present financing options, assist patients in affording care, educate on insurance coverage and payment options, ensure timely payment collection, and manage outstanding balances.
  • Administrative Duties: Schedule and confirm appointments, maintain detailed patient records, and submit paperwork to insurance.
  • Technical Assistance: Operate X-ray machines and assist with clinical tasks when certified and required.
  • Solicit referrals from patients post-treatment and track satisfaction with services provided.
  • Adhere to all government regulations, company standards, and compliance programs with integrity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year orthodontic or equivalent experience required.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous sales experience; comfort discussing costs and payment plans.
  • Responsive to patients, follow-up, and answering questions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding and ability to communicate orthodontic techniques.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience as a Treatment Coordinator in a dental practice (3+ years preferred).
  • Sales or customer service experience (3+ years preferred).
  • Knowledge of dental insurances, financing, and self-pay collections.
  • X-ray and CPR certifications preferred.
  • Bilingual skills, especially Spanish, a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively, operate a computer, lift up to 30 lbs, and perform physical tasks like bending and twisting.

The role may require extended hours during peak periods, primarily in a clinical environment.
