Ideal Dental is seeking an Orthodontic Dental Assistant to support clinicians and patients in a fast-growing orthodontic practice. You will assist the orthodontist, prepare materials, and educate patients on care throughout the treatment journey.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Dental Assistant license required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year orthodontic experience required.
• Willingness to travel within assigned areas.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and help them feel comfortable.
• Assist Orthodontist during procedures.
• Handle arch-wires and related steps (untying, tying, bending).
• Take impressions and x-rays as directed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Coordinate patient flow and post-treatment instructions.
• Communicate with patients and families to ensure understanding.

What You’ll Do

• Create a welcoming environment for patients, helping them feel comfortable and confident throughout their orthodontic journey.
• Support patients through complex orthodontic procedures, helping them feel informed, calm, and confident throughout their treatment experience.
• Work alongside the Orthodontist to ensure precision, efficiency, and a smooth clinical experience tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and recovery to promote healing and long-term oral health.
• Coordinate care and follow-ups, ensuring patients receive timely treatment and clear communication throughout their visit.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records to support clinical decision-making and continuity of care.
• Foster a collaborative team environment by staying proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality specialty care.
• Contribute to the success of orthodontic practice by helping manage clinical readiness, patient flow, and operational support.

What do you need to have to be a part of our team?

• Active Registered Dental Assistant License
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum of 1 year of specific orthodontic experience
• Must be willing to travel within assigned areas
