Job summary

University of the Incarnate Word invites candidates for a part-time Clinical and/or Didactic Adjunct at the Rosenberg School of Optometry. The role may involve clinical care and instruction, supervising residents, interns, and students within the RSO Clinical Network.

Teaching duties include optometry theory and clinical examination courses, with additional opportunities to engage in classroom and laboratory teaching.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited school.
• Current Texas Optometry license or eligibility to obtain licensure by assignment date.
• Ability to teach and supervise students, residents, and interns.
• Flexibility to cover evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical interns during vision exams and related services.
• Finalize prescriptions and refer patients as needed.
• Prepare and deliver lectures and course materials for didactic instruction.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with policies and accreditation standards.
